There are currently three established types of golf courses located around the globe. Links golf course, desert golf course and par 70 golf course are most commonly located, although each is entirely different. While links golf courses generally are played on the links that has a constant 18-hole course layout, desert golf courses change each season. And, while many golfers are familiar with the three golf courses mentioned, only few know the difference between these three golf courses.

GOLF Carts are used to transport golf balls from holes onto the fairway. This cart has one or two seats in front and a console where the golfer can display his or her score, time spent on the fairway, any strikes or fouls made and whether the ball was in a hole or not. Tee times are usually published in a player's magazine and are printed on the tee box, so golfers can see when they are due to tee off. Tee times are typically thirty minutes; some times are as short as fifteen minutes.

PGA and LPGA Tours operate many tour events such as the Senior Golf Tournament and the Buick Invitational. These tour events require vast expanses of sand, hills and water. These venues are designed by architects who work with the USGA and LPGA. These architects use many different elements to create a course. For example, a famous course in the US by architect Arthur Hills was designed with nine holes of sand with water running through each hole. A similar course in Spain is called the Cumbre del Alba.

A link course is another type of Golf course in Scottsdale . Links courses have several hundred yards of links surrounded by trees that are planted with grass. Links courses can be located indoors or outdoors, but most are located outdoors because of the damage the roots of grass due to the floors of golf courses. Links courses have made a comeback in the last couple of decades because of the new popularity of golf.
Most golf courses have sand traps, which require a player to hit the ball into a net or a bag. This nets usually carry balls that are the same size as the hole in the greens. After the player hits the ball, it will be directed back out onto the greens by the club's lobbing arms. The golf ball is then struck with the country club scottsdale az  again by a golfer who has been directed from the ball by the golf ball's exit path after it leaves the greens and travels down the course.
